The Descendants of Confederate Veterans is open to male & female descendants of soldiers, sailors and government officials that served in the Confederate States of America. Join us in our effort to preserve and protect our southern heritage by honoring the memory of our ancestors that served the Confederate States of America.
We currently have Active Chapters in the following locations:
Capital Chapter - Austin, Texas Area
East Texas Chapter - Longview, Texas Area
The 1st Lt. W.E. James Chapter - Darlington, South Carolina, and
Brigadier General William P. Barksdale Chapter - Columbia, Mississippi Area.
Please contact Carl Hedges, Jr., for more information about becoming a member in one of the DCV's regional Texas Chapters, the 1st Lt. W. E. James Chapter (South Carolina), the Brigadier General William P. Barksdale Chapter (Mississippi), starting your own Chapter, or an at-large member.
